Technical specification

PDTK-MD transducers provides precision measuring of absolute pressure and temperature in hostile environment for example in oil or gas downholes.  The compensation of temperature error enable to use the transducer in wide temperature range. Oil-filled bellows separator made of stainless steel provides the protection of quartz crystal from hostile environment and passing the pressure with minimum error. Quartz pressure and temperature sensitive elements provides high long-term stability of measuring. The oscillators are manufactured on high temperature electronics  and have different variations of performance for operating on self-resonant frequency (50±2.5)kHz or difference frequency (0.8±0.3) kHz.

It is possible to manufacture the transducers with digital interface RS-485, to order: UART, I2C,SPI.

Value of measuring pressure and temperature is possible to calculate using polynoms:

  1. P=P0+a1Ft+ a2Ft2+ a3Fp+ a4Fp2+a5FtFp,

  2. Т=To+c1Ft+c2Ft2+c3Ft3

Fp - frequency value of pressure channel; Ft - frequency value of temperature channel;

Ро,То,a1, a2, a3, a4, a5, c1, c2, c3, - coefficients calculated at calibration of the transducer (are in passport supplying with the transducer). The polynoms with the big quantity of coefficients can be used for making the accuracy less in the wide temperature range.

PDTK – quartz pressure and temperature;

Р – upper limit of measuring pressure in MPa;

E- basic error, % from upper limit of measuring (FS) (possible values: 0.06; 0.1; 0.15; 0.25; 0.5);

Т – upper limit of operating  temperatures, 0С  (90; 100; 125; 150);

М – metal case;

D – downhole (application);

ХХ – generation of transducers  and modification of the case (2Х, 3Х, 4Х, 5Х look attachment 1)

А – modification by output signal (each generation and modification of the case have three modifications by output signals with the next marking):

- D output signal with digital code, Х – marking of interface of output digital signal:

       - 1 - RS485;

       - 2 - UART;

       - 3 - SPI;

       - 4 - I2C.                                         

- F output signal in the view of frequency from pressure el and temperature channels, Х – marking of  self-oscillator type:

- «0» - satisfy to modification of transducer without electronics, for connecting  to excitation system of free oscillation or to customer’s oscillator. Besides the transducer is previously calibrating with the oscillator type «1», which is dismantling before shipping the transducer to the customer.

- «1» - oscillator, on which input the self-resonant frequency of connecting crystal (for heat-sensitive crystal from 31 till 36 kHz, for manometric crystal from 40 till 52 kHz); 

- «2» – beat-frequency oscillator (for temperature sensitive crystal from 0.3 till 1.0 kHz, for manometric crystal from 0.5 till 5.0 kHz);

 

The examples of designation quartz pressure and temperature transducers:

1. with the upper limit of pressure measuring 60 MPa, with basic error ± 0.06% from FS, with the upper operating temperature 125 0С, downhole, with digital output signal, interface RS-485 with substandard communications protocol.
